two cents.

currently listening to:Ants Marching/Rockapella.

ive been visiting blogs of my friends who have migrated (and although im too lazy to comment, i do read your blogs--ganon rin naman kayo eh! hmph!), and i see that they all share the same sentiments--"kawawa naman ang Pilipinas", "anywhere is better than the Philippines", "we're better off here than there", etc. etc. it makes me sick. and sad.

i don't want GMA to step down. fine, she may not be the best president in the world (ha!), but realistically speaking, who else is there to lead us? noli de castro? susan roces?

goodness gracious.

besides, if GMA DID cheat in the elections... so what? who didn't? in a country where it's a given for all politicians to be SOMEWHAT corrupt, why are we so affected about this particular situation?

and these solutions! rallies, rallies, rallies! people withdrawing support, people suddly volunteering themselves to be able to lead a country. and sorry, i've lost track... what edsa # is it again?

when are people going to realize that rallies won't solve anything? and what use are elections when their positions can be taken from the elected by a few thousand/hundred thousand people standing around, anyway? yes, it worked once. it worked twice (i believed in the 2nd one, though), there was supposedly a third one, too. do we really need a fourth?

yes. our state is depressing. but we don't have to add to the depression. we don't have to badmouth our country--we just have to make the best out of our situation. it's bad--so make it better. let GMA keep her position and fix the country rather than get someone else to do it and have to start from scratch. why bother? maghahanap lang rin naman tayo ng butas sa kanya eh. para matanggal rin posisyon ng susunod kay GMA.

don't look for a new president, please. at the rate we're going--we'll all be president of this country. at least until we get impeached.
